What we need:

Mohawk’s Resilient division is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Quality and Continuous Improvement Manager who wants to Innovate, Create, and Grow with us.

In this exciting role, you will be responsible for providing proactive leadership and strategic direction of the Quality Management System within the Resilient division. The Quality and CI Manager will need to have strong customer focus and be obsessed with continuous quality improvement.

The Quality and CI Manager role is a key part of the Resilient Leadership Team and reporting functionally to the Vice President of Manufacturing.

What you’ll do:

  • Deliver Value – Partner with division Leaders to deliver meaningful results to the business by continuously Improving the Resilient Quality Management System
  • Build a Solid Foundation – Standardize, develop, deploy, and manage all Quality Management System policies, programs, processes and procedures
  • Sustainment – Provide an on-going assessment of the Quality Management System effectiveness; prepare Quality Management Reviews to assess the health of the Quality Systems
  • Raw Material quality – Secure incoming parts quality in collaboration with supplier quality and the logistics team
  • Manufacturing quality – Responsible to capture data, analyze, implement containment and lead root cause analysis for online quality.
  • Product validation – Responsible for the final quality inspection and product audit.
  • Measure – Develop, analyze and maintain trend report quality metrics as appropriate for continuous improvement, identifying resource needs, and leveraging automated solutions for best-in-class analytics
  • Develop People – Work with all levels, from shop floor to management, that fosters a quality culture that values innovation, continuous improvement, and personal accountability; Recruits talent and builds a high-performance team; mentors and coaches’ personnel.
  • Drive Culture Change – Lead root-cause elimination and data-based decision-making throughout the organization.
  • Safety First - Stimulate and cultivate “a zero-incident mentality” throughout the facility through employee engagement

What you have:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or related technical field
  • 10+ years’ experience Manufacturing Environment, preferable within a Process Industry
  • 5+ Years in a senior Quality management function
  • 5+ years of work experience in Continuous Improvement (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and/or Total Productive Maintenance)

  • Ability to motivate and energize the team for quality improvement through strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong technical writing experience are required
  • Ability to synthesize data and summarize outcomes to provide recommendations on a path forward
  • Demonstrated ability to perform strategic planning, team building and operational excellence
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully execute responsibilities in a fast-pace environment, collaborating across multiple sites and stakeholders
