Speakology AI is a rapidly growing edtech startup transforming the way students learn languages through immersive, AI-powered conversation practice. We currently partner with over 150 educational institutions across the U.S., bringing cutting-edge virtual avatar technology and customized curricula into K–12 and higher education classrooms.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain full-stack features using Laravel (PHP) and React (TypeScript)
- Integrate third-party and internal APIs (REST, WebSockets, WebRTC)
- Collaborate with designers, developers, and product leads to deliver clean, intuitive user experiences
- Participate in code reviews and help maintain high code quality standards
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in system architecture, performance, and front-end UX/UI
What We’re Looking For
Required Skills (Non-Negotiable):
- Expert-level proficiency with Laravel (PHP)
- Advanced experience with React.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS
- Strong API experience (RESTful APIs, WebSockets, WebRTC)
- Comfortable with Git and collaborative development workflows (e.g. pull requests and code reviews)
- Self-starter who communicates effectively and thrives in a remote work environment
