Evergreen Life Services is seeking a dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide essential support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In this rewarding role, you will play a vital part in helping residents achieve greater independence and enhance their quality of life through tailored support and encouragement. Your focus will be on fostering meaningful relationships, facilitating daily living skills, and promoting community involvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist individuals in daily living activities, including personal care, meals, and household tasks.
• Follow and implement individualized support plans and behavior interventions.
• Provide transportation to appointments and community outings.
• Document individual progress and maintain accurate records of daily activities.
• Encourage and support residents in developing social and life skills.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for residents at all times.
• Collaborate with family members and interdisciplinary teams.
• Attend training sessions and staff meetings as required.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a direct support or caregiving role is a plus.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and move individuals with physical disabilities as necessary.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must pass background checks and training requirements (including CPR and First Aid).
